DURRINGTON POTHOLES..
As your Elected Wiltshire Councillor, I need your help to report the plethora of potholes appearing in Durrington.
It is now clearer than ever that all the temporary patching and pothole filling are just a waste of our money. The repairs don’t last and as a result more repairs are required. We should not accept being continually told it’s because of a lack of investment, poor weather, and more traffic. We can clearly see that the price of temporary repairs is ultimately more costly than a permanent fix.
The majority of our roads are in need of repair and as a community it is vital that we report the potholes that we see directly to Wiltshire Council ideally through the My Wilts App https://my.wiltshire.gov.uk/pothole or by telephone 0300 456 0105 Patience is required with either route please! If we are to stay safe both driving and walking, reporting all the defects is vital.
To add a website to an Android smart phone home screen,
open the site https://my.wiltshire.gov.uk/pothole in Chrome or Samsung Internet,
tap the three dots menu, select "Add to Home screen,"
Rename the shortcut if desired, and then
Tap "Add" twice to place the icon on your home screen, allowing quick access like a native app.
As a last resort I am always available to help however, if you are asking me to report or update on any defects, please provide a detailed location and where possible a picture of the defect.
This will continue to be a long, drawn-out saga but thank you for helping to keep our roads safer.
