Elizabeth Road and The Avenue Pavement Uplift in Durrington..

After 18 years of persistence with Salisbury District and Wiltshire Councils, I am pleased that the new pavement on The Avenue (see Picture) and Elizabeth Road are finally being installed. Residents have repeatedly requested the replacement of the old concrete pavement, citing safety concerns such as frequent tripping hazards, difficulty for wheelchair users and those with mobility aids as well as poor drainage leading to slippery surfaces. Many residents complained of cracked pavement and advocated for improvements. Their ongoing feedback played a key role in helping me to achieve this outcome.
